The taste of most items on the menu is unsatisfactory- they aren't well done. You could limit your order to beverages, desserts and some appetizers. I like the ambiance though- the vast area makes it roomy and is well lit at nights. You could certainly get here for it's pleasing atmosphere and have a quick bite or two. The waitresses are all cheerful and service is good!

While visiting my Friend of 30+ years, we were walking around Jersey City and she had expressed she had wanted to try the food. So we decide to try it. When we went inside the Staff was welcoming and nice. I had a hard time deciding what to order. I took a picture of the menu because there was so many items to choose from. I decided on a gyro. When the order came, I didn't realize there was a complete salad instead of some lettuce on the sandwich. The Diner was clean and very simple, like the diners in the old days. I would go back when I visit my Friend again.

I stopped in with a friend for a late-night dessert. She had a creamy strawberry cheesecake. And I enjoyed chocolate blackout cake accompanied by a dish of super fresh-tasting whipped cream. The waitress was most friendly and attentive, despite the all-night night shift looming ahead. The accompanying decaf tea made it the perfect nightcap. I've enjoyed similarly pleasant breakfasts and lunches at the VIP from time to time.

The portion sizes are awesome, the food is delicious and the salad bar is complimentary with any meal. Service was great too. If you're reading this, I recommend visiting here.

VIP is always the best! From the Hungry Man's Special to a toasted blueberry muffin, it's continuously delicious. I always go late at night (when I should be asleep, lol) after work. Service is always prompt, food is always good and the price is always right.
